How do I create an account?
Enter your Nigerian phone number, type in the code we send, then add your bank details. It takes about a minute.
Why do I need to add my bank account?
It is where we send the money people give you. We never share your full account details with anyone.
Can I use AbegNa outside Nigeria?
Not yet. For now you need a Nigerian phone number and bank account.
Asking for help
How much can I request?
Between ₦2,000 and ₦100,000.
Do I have to explain why I need money?
It is optional. But people give faster when they know what the money is for.
How long does my request stay active?
7 days. If it is not fully funded, you keep what you got and can start a new request.
How many requests can I have at once?
One active request at a time.
Giving
How do I give to a request?
Tap a request, choose an amount and pay through Paystack. It takes about 30 seconds.
Can I give anonymously?
Yes. Turn on “Give anonymously” before you pay. The person sees the amount but not your name.
Can I get my money back?
Gifts are final. If fraud is found before withdrawal, every giver is refunded in full. See our Guarantee page.
Does AbegNa take a cut?
No. 0% commission. Everything you give goes to the person who asked.
Wallet and withdrawals
How do I withdraw money I received?
Go to Wallet, then Withdraw. You verify with BVN or NIN and a live selfie first. There is a flat ₦100 fee.
What is the minimum withdrawal?
₦500.
Why has my withdrawal not arrived?
Most arrive within minutes. During bank maintenance it can take longer. If it has been more than a day, contact us.
Trust and safety
How do I know requests are real?
Every account is phone verified, and nobody withdraws without BVN or NIN and a live selfie. Money goes only to the person’s own bank account. You still choose who to help.
What if someone is scamming?
Tap Report on the request. Reported requests are frozen while we investigate, and confirmed fraudsters are banned.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. Payments go through Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
Can someone see my bank details?
No. Other people only see your display name and verification status.
