Refunds for givers
When you get a full refund
- The request is confirmed as fraud before the money is withdrawn
- The requester fails or refuses verification
- The same need was posted twice or on another platform
- You were charged twice or charged the wrong amount
How refunds work
- Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, through Paystack
- Banks usually show the money within 5 to 10 working days
- Optional tips to AbegNa are refunded with the gift
- Once a verified requester has withdrawn, the gift has reached them. Report it and we will investigate
How we handle a dispute
- 1
Report it
Tap Report on the request, or email hello@abegna.com with the request link.
- 2
We freeze it
The request is paused at once. No money can be withdrawn while we look.
- 3
We investigate
We check the documents, the story and the account, and may ask both sides for proof. We reply within 48 hours.
- 4
We decide
Givers are refunded in full if fraud or a wrong charge is confirmed. If the request is genuine, it is unfrozen.
- 5
You can appeal
Reply to our decision within 14 days with any new information and a different team member reviews it.
Card disputes and chargebacks
If you dispute a gift with your bank, we answer the bank through Paystack with the record of your gift. If the gift has not been withdrawn, we can refund you directly, which is faster than a chargeback. Please contact us first.
Requesters who receive gifts that are later charged back may have the amount recovered from future gifts.
